Christian Faith Baptist Church

Divine Habitation

Following that first Sunday of fellowship and worship at Roberts Park Recreational Center, Christian Faith Baptist Church subsequently found temporary habitation at Shaw University in the campus church. From February 25, 1990 through May, 1990 the church worshiped from the Shaw University campus; and then on June 3, 1990 the church relocated
to rented space at Shaw Divinity School. When official determination was made to relocate Shaw Divinity School back to the campus of Shaw University, Christian Baptist Church sought and was granted first right of refusal on the property. On October 8, 1993 Christian Faith Baptist Church purchased the Shaw Divinity School property, some three acres consisting of a modern sanctuary, education building, separate chapel (now housing the Shaw Divinity School library), three brick rental residences, and ample parking. Christian Faith Baptist Church, Inc. at the time of purchase of the current location was only three years old; but by the grace of God was able to secure a mortgage of some $800,000. Recently the Lord has blessed the church to secure a new $30,000 Allen Digital Computerized Church Organ and modern sound enhancement system. A mission-minded congregation, Christian Faith Baptist Church commits annually in excess of $75,000 to support a variety of mission objectives, including Saturday meals to the elderly and needy.
